Hidden Disability--A Life With PN
Whenever you happen
to look at me
Can you see my hidden disability?
The pain I feel, the hurt so bad
It really depresses and makes me sad
So take my hand and try to understand
That this is hidden across our land
The medical knowledge is very small
For others, there is none at all
We are growing in number each passing day
When you ask,"what's wrong", we really do not know what to
say
So when you hear the words pn
Don't look at us with your silly grins
We know you may not know the term
But hope you care enough to learn
Just ask and we will try to explain
Why we are weak, tingle, numb and in pain
So my dear friend, just please be there
And let us know that you really do care
Help us live our lives the best we can
And show you love us and you do understand

A great big THANK
YOU to Diane
for sharing her poem with us. Diane does not suffer with PN.
However, her husband, Mike, does have PN. I'll bet he has one
of
the best "wife-nurses" in town :-)
