The Megabox was released in Japan in 1993. It was meant to sum up Megadeth's career up until that time, and it does a pretty good job at it. I got it in 1995, I believe, when a store was going out of business and I went there to look for bootlegs. I didn't find any, so I was
about to settle for some Biohazard bootleg when I looked behind the counter and saw a black box with Vic's face on it. before that time, all I knew about the box was that it had Vic on it, so seeing this was a good sign. The Biohazard quickly returned to the shelf.
With their going out of business sale, the box, still new, was $59, which must be the best price availible; at the time, I was just about set to mail order it for $149, so this whole thing was very cool.
The box is black and not too big. It has a large J-card, like most CD's from Japan do ( but larger so as to fit around the box )
On the front of the box, there is a picture of Vic's head in gold. It looks sort of like the Vic from the cover of Hangar 18, but it is very difficult to be sure, since the picture is only in black and gold, and there is no background. If you want to see what the box looks like, CLICK HERE

and black rubber eraser, each with Megalogo on it
