Oscillates between "Tim" & Wade looking for all variations of Coca plants, & the original expeditions of their Harvard teacher, Richard Schultes. Best parts were about Schultes' discoveries - sociological botanist & explorer extraordinaire.

Boy, this is a great book - modern geology from a 'who-dunnit' vantage point. The main focus is the huge impact crater in Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico, how it was discovered, and its plausible relation to the extinction of the dinosaurs.

Very interesting insight on the neuroses of house cats and how they can be treated. A lot of it makes sense. Thank goodness we don't have any crazy ones.

Investigates the controversies about heredity vs environmental impatcts on IQ. Exposes how various studies and their conclusions - supposedly 'scientific' - have been skewed, biased, or preconceived in their results.

A memoir from the former head of Charles Scribner's Sons, who surveys today's educational landscape and finds America's literary heritage to be eroding. "...sage advice for enriching the life of the mind."

by Yergin, Daniel (read by Gardner, Grover)
After you finish reading this book, you'll be convinced that nearly all modern history has been the consequence of nations' struggles for energy access, independence, or wealth. I highly recommend this book for its thoroughness and quality.
